An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Hart in the 5th minute of play forced El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper Roosevelt Guthrie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vince Potts kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Bernie Rosales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Sal Schultz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sal Schultz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kent Carney went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the game, Joseph Marquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Canalla de Chicago's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ForestFire the free kick. After a rather tough play, El Canalla de Chicago's Joseph Marquez got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Scott Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Stephan Nava hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's Shawn Reyna broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Scott Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 30 minutes, Scott Souza made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. ForestFire's Sal Schultz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Scott Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommie Tipton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sal Schultz having to interfere. Vince Potts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute, Tommie Tipton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sal Schultz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The ForestFire players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Canalla de Chicago were winning 0-3.

The crowd rose to their feet as El Canalla de Chicago's Scott Souza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sal Schultz. That made the score 0-4 after 53 minutes of play. Shawn Reyna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Peterson's late challenge caught a El Canalla de Chicago's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enrique Peterson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ForestFire getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Enrique Peterson hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, ForestFire's goal looked a bit too open when Scott Souza came free, but Sal Schultz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Scott Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roosevelt Guthrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Peterson, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Sal Schultz was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Kent Carney capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kent Carney really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. El Canalla de Chicago's Roosevelt Guthrie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyrus Keys in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Scott Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Cyrus Keys made a precise shot to the right of Roosevelt Guthrie. El Canalla de Chicago's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. In the 92nd minute Cyrus Keys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roosevelt Guthrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cyrus Keys struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Roosevelt Guthrie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ForestFire. Vince Potts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Sal Schultz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El Canalla de Chicago's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
