Tobias Dupree's late challenge caught a Brooklyn SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tobias Dupree helped the player get up and apologised. Brooklyn SC's Jaime Pina was substituted for Jon Smith. After a rather tough play, Brooklyn SC's Randall Haynes got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Winford Frey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Randall Haynes in the 43rd minute of the match. A.J. Spangler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Winford Frey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pascal Dailey made a kick off. With an all-out effort, Brooklyn SC's Winford Frey threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Randall Haynes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Osvaldo Cadena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basil Luke in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brant Marion in the 64th minute of play forced Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Cadena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Winford Frey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randall Haynes in the 76th minute of play. Randall Haynes hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Ezra Tuttle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osvaldo Cadena. Brooklyn SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ezra Tuttle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The EL LOBO DE MIAMI fans cheered their team off the field, for while Brooklyn SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
