Alfred Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro Lowery charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 24 minutes of play, Key Biscayne FC's Reginald Bledsoe made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfred Martinez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Asher Huggins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clinton Starnes in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Key Biscayne FC's Reuben Brandon got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Clinton Starnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.D. Bajen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clinton Starnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Key Biscayne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Clinton Starnes came free, but Asher Huggins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Key Biscayne FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. S.D. Bajen were winning 1-2.

But to his dismay, Sandy Ivey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Antonio Darby kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Asher Huggins. That made the score 2-3 in the 67 minute of play. Clinton Starnes scored 2-4 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Asher Huggins, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Reginald Bledsoe came free, but Alfred Martinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Val Farrell got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a defensive mix-up in S.D. Bajen's zone, Sandy Ivey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Martinez came out of the goal and Sandy Ivey tried to chip the ball over his head. Alfred Martinez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-5. When Jon Messer fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.D. Bajen's protests and gave Jon Messer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd match minute, S.D. Bajen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon Messer to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. S.D. Bajen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
