But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Leal couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Reginald Bledsoe took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lucas McKinnon to make any attempt to save it. 22 minutes into the match, Cascade Park West's goal looked a bit too open when Reginald Bledsoe came free, but Lucas McKinnon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wiley Redd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Werner Patton during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Key Biscayne FC booed when Cascade Park West was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Werner Patton didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Key Biscayne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Leal came free, but Asher Huggins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Werner Patton made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Key Biscayne FC booed when Cascade Park West was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiley Redd didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Trenton Loomis fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Key Biscayne FC's protests and gave Trenton Loomis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Trenton Loomis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute, Werner Patton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Asher Huggins was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some careless play in the Cascade Park West defense, Reginald Bledsoe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucas McKinnon. The Cascade Park West fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucas McKinnon should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Avery in the 61st minute of play forced Cascade Park West's goalkeeper Lucas McKinnon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Marcos Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcos Leal in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Asher Huggins saved Key Biscayne FC from getting behind. In the 79th match minute, Cascade Park West was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Werner Patton to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Wiley Redd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cascade Park West's supporters rose to their feet, but Wiley Redd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Asher Huggins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Key Biscayne FC's Reuben Brandon quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Denis Marcus, made in the 90th minute of the game. Cascade Park West's Lucas McKinnon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginald Bledsoe in the 91st minute of play. After 92 played minutes Cascade Park West got a freekick which was hit by Leif Engle. Key Biscayne FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
