Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradley Cody in the 18th minute of play forced Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Cedric Glover to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River tu grato nombre's Jayson Burnett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohammed Lloyd in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Eli Cermak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Racing Miami Futbol Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dexter Alvarez in the 25th minute. After 26 played minutes Racing Miami Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Connor Benitez. Jermaine Velasquez's late challenge caught a River tu grato nombre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jermaine Velasquez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for River tu grato nombre. Ace Gray stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cedric Glover. 0-2. 44 minutes into the match, Mohammed Lloyd dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jayson Burnett, 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Garth Cao Xiao to make the kick off. In the 60th match minute, Racing Miami Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dexter Alvarez to maneuver through the defense. Cedric Glover made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Garth Cao Xiao sent off a good shot on target. Jayson Burnett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeffrey Chen in the 65th minute of play. Mohammed Lloyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eli Cermak fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River tu grato nombre's protests and gave Eli Cermak a yellow card for diving instead. Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Garth Cao Xiao 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. The crowd rose to their feet as River tu grato nombre's Garth Cao Xiao slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cedric Glover. That made the score 1-4 after 80 minutes of play.
