Cosmos Soccer Club were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after LOS BUITRES's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Claude Tuttle took the corner. After 14 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Jonah Dobbs. Stephen Ambriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Maher in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvin Santiago in the 18th minute of play forced LOS BUITRES's goalkeeper Stephen Ambriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Maher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephen Ambriz having to interfere. In the 25th minute Jonah Dobbs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephen Ambriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alvin Santiago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oswaldo Church kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Claude Tuttle took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stephen Ambriz. LOS BUITRES's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Tyson Stanford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd match minute, LOS BUITRES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Boswell to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Cosmos Soccer Club were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sherman Eason made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Marcus Maher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cosmos Soccer Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LOS BUITRES the free kick. After 51 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Maher. A collision led to LOS BUITRES getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Federico Boswell hit a great ball. Stephen Ambriz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Miguel Beltre. In the 60th minute, one of LOS BUITRES:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for LOS BUITRES. In the 68th minute, Sherman Eason hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Maher in the 70th minute of play forced LOS BUITRES's goalkeeper Stephen Ambriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stephen Ambriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Maher in the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Maher in the 78th minute of play forced LOS BUITRES's goalkeeper Stephen Ambriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Marcus Maher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stephen Ambriz. After 94 played minutes, LOS BUITRES's Theo Clifton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Quintin Saldana came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LOS BUITRES reached it. Cosmos Soccer Club's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
