Quintin Funk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trevor Michaud having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Mayo in the 13th minute of play forced American Top Team's goalkeeper Trevor Michaud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trevor Michaud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Mayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trevor Michaud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quintin Funk in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Mickey Landreth had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trevor Michaud. American Top Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mickey Landreth was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by American Top Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Quintin Funk was slow to take the kick. During this time Black Knights FC's players had a chance to rest. After 27 minutes, Winford Craig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the American Top Team and the Black Knights FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Black Knights FC booed when American Top Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Eason didn't get a good kick on the ball. Black Knights FC's Dylan Broussard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Black Knights FC from getting a goal against them. Dylan Broussard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnoldo Short in the 31st minute. Trevor Michaud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quintin Funk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Arnoldo Short managed to get in a good position for a shot. American Top Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Short was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dylan Broussard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the match, American Top Team's goal looked a bit too open when Quintin Funk came free, but Trevor Michaud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 47 minutes, Quintin Funk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Black Knights FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quintin Funk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Trevor Michaud made an important save on a dangerous shot by Javier Mayo in the 52nd minute. In the 52nd minute, Winford Craig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dylan Broussard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Winford Craig, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Charles Eason's late challenge caught a Black Knights FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charles Eason helped the player get up and apologised. Charles Eason kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Trevor Michaud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quintin Funk in the 64th minute of the match. Dylan Broussard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clay Quintana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, American Top Team's Trevor Michaud got control of the ball when Javier Mayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. American Top Team's Trevor Michaud proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save American Top Team from getting a goal against them. If Ramon Feliciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 minutes, Arnoldo Short mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the American Top Team and the Black Knights FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 85 played minutes American Top Team got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Short. Trevor Michaud made an important save on a dangerous shot by Javier Mayo in the 87th minute. Winford Craig hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Clay Quintana took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dylan Broussard. Dylan Broussard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Quintin Funk received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Trevor Michaud came out and tried to block the shot, but Quintin Funk slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 95th minute. The American Top Team supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Black Knights FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Black Knights FC.
