GD JULIO DINIS's Viriato Horta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herberto Vilar in the 5th minute of play. GD JULIO DINIS's Viriato Horta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save GD JULIO DINIS from getting a goal against them. If Aparício Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Geraldo Lopes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fábio Cesário. Andarilhos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geraldo Lopes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Andarilhos's Leandro Campelo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Viriato Horta. That made the score 2-1 after 23 minutes of play. Viriato Horta made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Leandro Campelo sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute Gustavo Gentil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Cesário saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th match minute, GD JULIO DINIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. Fábio Cesário came out of the goal and Gustavo Gentil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the GD JULIO DINIS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Andarilhos.
