Jerónimo Ornelas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Osório in the 8th minute of play. Jerónimo Ornelas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hélio Granja went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Dimas Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Bentes in the 24th minute of the match. Artur Macedo charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The MEXACOMX fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. G.D Vitória de Sernache's Jerónimo Ornelas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Gonçalves in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrício Gonçalves in the 38th minute of play forced G.D Vitória de Sernache's goalkeeper Jerónimo Ornelas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes G.D Vitória de Sernache got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Morais. Domingos Vilarinho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jerónimo Ornelas. G.D Vitória de Sernache's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alfredo Osório recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélio Granja in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerónimo Ornelas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hélio Granja made a kick off. Jerónimo Ornelas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nuno Candeias in the 52nd minute. A collision led to G.D Vitória de Sernache getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Manuel Morais hit a great ball. Alfredo Osório sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Nuno Candeias could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Jerónimo Ornelas however easily saved by the left post. Domingos Vilarinho's late challenge caught a G.D Vitória de Sernache's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingos Vilarinho helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of G.D Vitória de Sernache booed when MEXACOMX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Vilarinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerónimo Ornelas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Osório in the 67th minute of the match. Diogo Ponte's late challenge caught a G.D Vitória de Sernache's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Veríssimo Velasques couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, G.D Vitória de Sernache's goalkeeper Jerónimo Ornelas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hélio Granja. Hélio Granja in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jerónimo Ornelas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 88th play minute Nuno Candeias came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jerónimo Ornelas. 1-5. After 92 minutes of play, G.D Vitória de Sernache's Veríssimo Velasques made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dimas Camargo was left in no man's land by his defense there!
