The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 14thth minute of the game Frederico Aguiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lima Team's Kevin Curado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 16 minutes of play, Campus Douro Academy's Óscar Andrade made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kevin Curado was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 20 minutes, Lucílio Salvado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lima Team and the Campus Douro Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 20 played minutes Lima Team got a freekick which was hit by Lucílio Salvado. Lima Team's Kevin Curado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Montenegro in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Adérito Rijo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Artur Caneira hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Óscar Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kevin Curado. Lima Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Óscar Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Éder Carrasqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeferino Igrejas having to interfere. Adérito Rijo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Zeferino Igrejas made a huge save. With a little luck, Campus Douro Academy's Zeferino Igrejas got control of the ball when Adérito Rijo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Campus Douro Academy's goalkeeper Zeferino Igrejas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adérito Rijo. If Frederico Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Curado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óscar Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matias Valério stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Campus Douro Academy's Zeferino Igrejas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucílio Salvado in the 57th minute of play. Kevin Curado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frederico Aguiar went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Adérito Rijo's late challenge caught a Campus Douro Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adérito Rijo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Lima Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adérito Rijo to maneuver through the defense. Adérito Rijo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeferino Igrejas having to interfere. In the 75thth minute of the game Teodoro Caiado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lima Team's Kevin Curado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Noel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the game, Lima Team's Éder Carrasqueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeferino Igrejas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Caiado in the 88th minute of play forced Lima Team's goalkeeper Kevin Curado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frederico Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Curado having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Noel Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Kevin Curado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Lima Team's zone, Teodoro Caiado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin Curado came out of the goal and Teodoro Caiado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Campus Douro Academy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lima Team.
