After a rather tough play, GD Almargense's Rafael Carmo got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the game, Hélder Pereira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ribeirada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GD Almargense the free kick. Hélder Pereira hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Ribeirada's Celso Palma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Carmo in the 9th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Luís Noronha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso Palma was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Celso Palma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Noronha's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 19thth minute of the game Luís Noronha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ribeirada's Celso Palma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st minute Máximo Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Palma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Luís Noronha put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Celso Palma. A collision led to GD Almargense getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Leandro Calado hit a great ball. Celso Palma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Noronha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half GD Almargense were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Noronha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Celso Palma was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rafael Carmo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 52 minute of play. Celso Palma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Carmo in the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Carmo in the 60th minute of play forced Ribeirada's goalkeeper Celso Palma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ribeirada getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Vladimiro Marques hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Rafael Carmo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Rafael Carmo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Celso Palma. Rafael Carmo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Rafael Carmo took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celso Palma. Celso Palma dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. In the 84th match minute, Ribeirada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Celso Palma made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Luís Noronha sent off a good shot on target. Isac Macedo's late challenge caught a GD Almargense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isac Macedo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th minute, Isac Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Pais could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Celso Palma made a huge save. Hélder Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Luís Noronha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Celso Palma, 0-7. The Ribeirada fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GD Almargense were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
