Mateus Peralta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Resende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ɍυƒυs™ booed when Bacardi Black Bats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Ricardo Meira from long distance, 21 minutes into the match, got Mateus Peralta's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 25th minute, Ɍυƒυs™'s Gusmão Leiria ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mateus Peralta. Mateus Peralta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilson Maciel got free with Mateus Peralta in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Luís Carmona fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bacardi Black Bats's protests and gave Luís Carmona a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Bacardi Black Bats got a freekick which was hit by Luís Carmona. A hard shot by Eusébio Quintanilha from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Mateus Peralta's attention. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gusmão Leiria was the one to do the kick off. Alex Arruda's late challenge caught a Bacardi Black Bats's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bacardi Black Bats's Mateus Peralta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Maciel in the 58th minute of play. Samuel Carmona hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The Ɍυƒυs™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. In the 78th minute, Gusmão Leiria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateus Peralta was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Albérico Roriz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Maurício Estrada made a huge save. 85 minutes into the game, Ɍυƒυs™'s Higino Viveiros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mateus Peralta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Bacardi Black Bats's Alfredo Branco quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alexandre Graça, made in the 93rd minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ɍυƒυs™ fully deserved thier win.
