Minho FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tasso FC the free kick. After 6 played minutes Minho FC got a freekick which was hit by Marco Varela. Maurício Peseiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Zeferino Távora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Ramiro Fernandes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Zeferino Távora was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tasso FC's Zeferino Távora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Peseiro in the 23rd minute of play. If Patrício Tomé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeferino Távora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Peseiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 34th minute, Emílio Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 41 minutes on the clock, Durval Guterres commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 40 minutes into the game, one of Minho FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The wind increased when Diego Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. Severino Taveira charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severino Taveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tasso FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! Tasso FC:s Zeferino Távora showed great skill when he stopped Marco Varela:s penalty. Ramiro Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Minho FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Marco Varela hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Patrício Tomé got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Ramiro Fernandes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeferino Távora. Tasso FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramiro Fernandes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The supporters of Minho FC booed when Tasso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Belo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramiro Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Tasso FC's Zeferino Távora got control of the ball when Ramiro Fernandes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Tasso FC booed when Minho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Minho FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
