Spectators: 163 (Terracing: 123, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nicolau Fagundes started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herberto Bento in the 4th minute of play forced AD Pontassolense's goalkeeper Cesário Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesário Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Salgueiro in the 5th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Cristóvão Figueiras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Castanheira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 12 minutes of play, Pinhote FC's Herberto Bento made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cesário Sanches was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eusébio Salgueiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Cesário Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18th play minutes Nicolau Alvarenga shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Cesário Sanches and just under the crossbar into goal. Eusébio Salgueiro hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Cesário Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Salgueiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Pinhote FC were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after AD Pontassolense's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teodoro Ornelas took the corner. The corner led Pinhote FC's Teodoro Ornelas to fire away a dangerous shot which Cesário Sanches despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 34 minutes, Plácido Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AD Pontassolense and the Pinhote FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Plácido Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Teodoro Ornelas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Adelino Vilanova kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Pinhote FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Plácido Sá got in the 94th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Mauro Valente handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Pinhote FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
