Paulino Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Serafim Salvado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Diegues during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abel Diegues kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Serafim Salvado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulino Araújo went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 21 played minutes SC Freiburg 09 got a freekick which was hit by Abel Diegues. Germano Júdice received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Mauro Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Pinhote FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Serafim Leão hit a great ball. Enzo Freitas's late challenge caught a SC Freiburg 09's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enzo Freitas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Freiburg 09 booed when Pinhote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Diegues in the 32nd minute of play forced Pinhote FC's goalkeeper Mauro Valente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Valente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Diegues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herberto Bento in the 37th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 09's goalkeeper Serafim Salvado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th match minute, SC Freiburg 09 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Diegues to maneuver through the defense. SC Freiburg 09's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Herberto Bento scored to the left of an out of position Serafim Salvado, making the score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Germano Júdice made a kick off. In the 58th minute Nicolau Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafim Salvado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauro Valente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Diegues in the 61st minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Eusébio Salgueiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafim Salvado was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 72nd minute Herberto Bento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafim Salvado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafim Salvado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolau Alvarenga in the 76th minute of play. SC Freiburg 09 were furious when Julião Amaro was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 09's Julião Amaro got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 78th minute, Teodoro Ornelas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Freiburg 09's Serafim Salvado didn't even have to move. In the 82nd minute, Herberto Bento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pinhote FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Trindade got free with Mauro Valente in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Serafim Leão hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute Paulino Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafim Salvado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Veríssimo Horta kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolau Alvarenga in the 90th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 09's goalkeeper Serafim Salvado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pinhote FC fully deserved thier win.
