Mariano Pádua blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albertino Belém having to make a save. 14 minutes into the match, Sporting DoutroMundo's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Amorim came free, but Adalberto Guerreiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo Carmona kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 23 minutes of play, Sporting DoutroMundo's Aldo Carmona made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albertino Belém was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adalberto Guerreiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Jaime Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, Sporting DoutroMundo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. When Jorge Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Luigi Harammes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Amorim couldn't finish the play. Alberto Jesus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albertino Belém made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Álvaro Candeias sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Pádua got free with Albertino Belém in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luigi Harammes's Albertino Belém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Caetano in the 39th minute of play. With a little luck, Luigi Harammes's Albertino Belém got control of the ball when Alberto Jesus tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute Alberto Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertino Belém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Jesus in the 46th minute of play forced Luigi Harammes's goalkeeper Albertino Belém to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Alberto Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertino Belém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Amorim made a kick off. Albertino Belém took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Jesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute Alberto Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertino Belém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Pádua in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albertino Belém saved Luigi Harammes from getting behind. 64 minutes into the game, Sporting DoutroMundo's Mariano Pádua nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albertino Belém made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Albertino Belém showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Jesus in the 67th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Luigi Harammes defense, Álvaro Candeias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albertino Belém. The Luigi Harammes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albertino Belém should have stopped the shot. When Sporting DoutroMundo's Álvaro Candeias in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Luigi Harammes's goalie prevented a goal. When Sidónio Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
