Sporting Clube de Gaya's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Albérico Figueiras scored to the left of an out of position Jacinto Quintanilha, making the score, 2-0. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Jacinto Quintanilha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Madeira in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Madeira came free, but Jacinto Quintanilha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacinto Quintanilha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Porfírio Sarmento in the 26th minute of the match. In the 89thth minute of the game Porfírio Sarmento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Clube de Gaya's Jacinto Quintanilha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
