When Benficajuvestars's Simão França in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AM United's goalie prevented a goal. Dércio Leão received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Francisco Vilela came out and tried to block the shot, but Dércio Leão slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. When AM United's Inácio Telinhos in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Benficajuvestars's goalie prevented a goal. Francisco Vilela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dércio Leão in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Cássio Veiga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AM United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 29th minute Hermano Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viriato Amaro came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by AM United's Hermano Gaspar. But to his dismay, Hermano Gaspar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Aristides Lobato hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Benficajuvestars's Viriato Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermano Gaspar in the 38th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Benficajuvestars's goal looked a bit too open when Hermano Gaspar came free, but Viriato Amaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hermano Gaspar was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the AM United defense, Dércio Leão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Vilela. The AM United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Vilela should have stopped the shot. Benficajuvestars's Viriato Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermano Gaspar in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of AM United booed when Benficajuvestars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gentil Raposo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gentil Bragança kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Noel Severiano got free with Viriato Amaro in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th match minute, AM United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Telinhos to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute, David Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dércio Leão scored 4-2 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Vilela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Noel Severiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Viriato Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Vilela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dércio Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 85th minute Dércio Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Vilela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Vilela came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Benficajuvestars's Dércio Leão. But to his dismay, Dércio Leão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. A collision led to AM United getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Januário Espírito Santo hit a great ball.
