Miguel Póvoas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Mendes having to interfere. Simão França's late challenge caught a SITIO CITY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simão França helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Benficajuvestars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão França to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the game, SITIO CITY's Miguel Póvoas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvestre Mendes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Gusmão in the 15th minute of play forced Benficajuvestars's goalkeeper Silvestre Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvestre Mendes came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by SITIO CITY's Miguel Póvoas. But to his dismay, Miguel Póvoas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 20 minutes into the game, Miguel Gusmão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SITIO CITY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Benficajuvestars the free kick. Silvestre Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rúben Neiva in the 24th minute of play. Silvestre Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Brandão, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Igor Quinaz notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Benficajuvestars's Silvestre Mendes. Silvestre Mendes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 28th match minute, Benficajuvestars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão França to maneuver through the defense. Basílio Prates struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Silvestre Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SITIO CITY. In the 33rd minute, Rúben Neiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvestre Mendes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 37 minutes into the match, Benficajuvestars's goal looked a bit too open when Rúben Neiva came free, but Silvestre Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvestre Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Brandão, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the game, SITIO CITY's Américo Palma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvestre Mendes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Silvestre Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Quinaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute Igor Quinaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvestre Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Brandão in the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Igor Quinaz to make the kick off. The supporters of SITIO CITY booed when Benficajuvestars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Pegado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute, Igor Quinaz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Silvestre Mendes. The goal made the score 0-6. With an all-out effort, SITIO CITY's Silvestre Mendes threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rúben Neiva, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 58 minutes into the game, Basílio Prates recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Silvestre Mendes. Basílio Prates showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Rúben Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Benficajuvestars's Simão França got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the game, Igor Quinaz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Silvestre Mendes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Igor Quinaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benficajuvestars's Silvestre Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rúben Neiva in the 70th minute of play. Silvestre Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Quinaz in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 82nd minute of the match, Igor Quinaz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Silvestre Mendes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 83rd match minute, Benficajuvestars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Mascarenhas to maneuver through the defense. Benficajuvestars's Silvestre Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Benficajuvestars from getting a goal against them. After 86 played minutes Benficajuvestars got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Mascarenhas. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Silvestre Mendes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Igor Quinaz struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Silvestre Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SITIO CITY. Viriato Amaro kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
