After 3 minutes, Gabor Helfenstein made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. 1. FC Union Weberei's Raphael Gilli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 8th minute 1. FC Union Weberei were awarded a corner. Gilberto Archambault went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led 1. FC Union Weberei's Tor Jäger to a score. 1-1 in the 9th minute. 23 minutes into the game, 1. FC Union Weberei's Fréderic Visser nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remo Steingher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 25th minute, Krale Ball hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Franz Kolb could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Remo Steingher however easily saved by the left post. After 33 played minutes Chancy Olympique got a freekick which was hit by Clement Schwartz. 38 minutes into the game, Fréderic Visser recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Remo Steingher. Fréderic Visser showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. In the 42nd minute, Fréderic Visser reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Remo Steingher. The goal made the score 5-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabor Helfenstein was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Chancy Olympique's goal looked a bit too open when Maurice Tisserand came free, but Remo Steingher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led 1. FC Union Weberei's Gilberto Archambault to fire away a dangerous shot which Remo Steingher despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tor Jäger scored 6-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remo Steingher, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Tisserand in the 61st minute of play forced Chancy Olympique's goalkeeper Remo Steingher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remo Steingher came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by 1. FC Union Weberei's Fréderic Visser. But to his dismay, Fréderic Visser quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. 77 minutes into the game, Gilberto Archambault was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1. FC Union Weberei's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chancy Olympique the free kick. In the 79th minute of the match Gilberto Archambault sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Remo Steingher skillfully saved the ball. Remo Steingher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor Jäger, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 87th minute Maurice Tisserand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo Steingher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Chancy Olympique defense, Tor Jäger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remo Steingher. The Chancy Olympique fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remo Steingher should have stopped the shot. When Maurice Tisserand, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 92 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Remo Steingher was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Lienhard DeGrasse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
