Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tiziano Gamache got the match started through his kick off. Quirino Courtemanche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odysseus De Souza in the 5th minute of the match. Armando Wiesi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Max Sevier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 16th minute Odysseus De Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quirino Courtemanche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Wiesi kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Odysseus De Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quirino Courtemanche. SalentoUnited's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Odysseus De Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 26th match minute, SalentoUnited was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chuck Bluom to maneuver through the defense. Quirino Courtemanche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiziano Gamache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quirino Courtemanche didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Odysseus De Souza went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 32nd match minute, SalentoUnited was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignazio Dubois to maneuver through the defense. FC Lugano's Tito Waechter couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SalentoUnited. Quirino Courtemanche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odysseus De Souza in the 36th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chuck Bluom during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SalentoUnited's Chuck Bluom got a free kick in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, SalentoUnited's goal looked a bit too open when Tiziano Gamache came free, but Quirino Courtemanche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Diederich in the 41st minute of play forced SalentoUnited's goalkeeper Quirino Courtemanche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Tiziano Gamache. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armando Wiesi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Odysseus De Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quirino Courtemanche. SalentoUnited's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Odysseus De Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 55 minutes into the match, SalentoUnited's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Diederich came free, but Quirino Courtemanche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florian Diederich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Quirino Courtemanche made a huge save. Quirino Courtemanche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odysseus De Souza in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Odysseus De Souza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Quirino Courtemanche, 0-5. In the 75th minute Florian Diederich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quirino Courtemanche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Tiziano Gamache was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Lugano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SalentoUnited the free kick. In the 76th minute, Tiziano Gamache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the FC Lugano defense, Armando Wiesi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Max Sevier. The FC Lugano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Max Sevier should have stopped the shot. After 80 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Ulric Donsante. A hard shot 85 in the game by Tiziano Gamache from a close distance when the talented Quirino Courtemanche managed to make a qualified save. SalentoUnited's players were relieved. Quirino Courtemanche came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Lugano's Tiziano Gamache. But to his dismay, Tiziano Gamache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfonso Zumbrunnen during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when SalentoUnited was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Zumbrunnen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Hugo Haller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SalentoUnited's Quirino Courtemanche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulric Donsante in the 95th minute of play. When the match was over FC Lugano could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SalentoUnited throughout the match.
