Gates Boeck acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 10th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hajo Nyfeler. Vladimir Schnyder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Derek Leuenberger's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 21st minute of the match Edgar Domini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vladimir Schnyder showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Billy Waller kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. When Derek Leuenberger fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored B O B I S A's protests and gave Derek Leuenberger a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, B O B I S A's Derek Leuenberger got a free kick in the 25th minute. Gates Boeck was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Billy Waller capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Billy Waller really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 29 minutes into the match, Billy Waller notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of B O B I S A's Gates Boeck. Gates Boeck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Derek Leuenberger hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 35 played minutes, Fire Devils's Hajo Nyfeler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gates Boeck came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fire Devils reached it. In the 38thth minute of the game Derek Leuenberger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fire Devils's Vladimir Schnyder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Billy Waller made the kick off in the second half. Gates Boeck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vladimir Schnyder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Derek Leuenberger, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 96th play minutes Billy Waller shot 5-2, a short shot which went by Gates Boeck and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fire Devils had won after a very even match.
