Vladimir Schnyder came out of the goal and Ulf Caniglia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 13 minutes, Ulf Caniglia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hemmersbacher SV and the Fire Devils players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when Hemmersbacher SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Caniglia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fire Devils's Daniel Winkel in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Chip Nick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Winkel in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Hemmersbacher SV's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Winkel came free, but Chip Nick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Daniel Winkel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Fire Devils were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Daniel Winkel charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Winkel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Daniel Winkel kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Hemmersbacher SV's Chip Nick got control of the ball when Leonard Schnyder tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chip Nick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Winkel in the 89th minute of play. Daniel Winkel got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 91st match minute, Fire Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Winkel to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the game, Raoul Kempf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hemmersbacher SV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fire Devils the free kick. After a rather tough play, Hemmersbacher SV's Raoul Kempf got a free kick in the 94th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fire Devils eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
