Bivadi McJohnny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Frew, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timmy Cobb charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timmy Cobb the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Gavião Kyikatejê got a freekick which was hit by Timmy Cobb. In the 8th minute Shamus Kirby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Gilespie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Uí Fergusa booed when Gavião Kyikatejê was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rod Reidfurd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sid Park kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 15thth minute of the game Rod Reidfurd who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uí Fergusa's Bivadi McJohnny was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bivadi McJohnny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rod Reidfurd in the 21st minute of the match. Max Gilespie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dugan Doherty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Uí Fergusa's Max Gilespie threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pembroke McPaul, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Henry Frew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bivadi McJohnny having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Ewan Hughes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Henry Frew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Uí Fergusa's Dugan Doherty got a free kick in the 41st minute. Ewan Hughes might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bivadi McJohnny. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ewan Hughes ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeremy McQuartie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sid Park hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 57th match minute, Gavião Kyikatejê was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Laidlaw to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Ewan Hughes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henry Frew got free with Bivadi McJohnny in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the match, Rod Reidfurd dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bivadi McJohnny, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tathan Harkin during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Uí Fergusa getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Tathan Harkin hit a great ball. Henry Simpson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bivadi McJohnny read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Uí Fergusa's Shamus Kirby got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Rod Reidfurd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gavião Kyikatejê's supporters rose to their feet, but Rod Reidfurd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bivadi McJohnny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 82 played minutes Uí Fergusa got a freekick which was hit by Pembroke McPaul. In the 84th minute Ewan Hughes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bivadi McJohnny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremy McQuartie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bivadi McJohnny having to interfere.
