St. James Gate F.C.'s Lewy McJon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rod Reidfurd in the 19th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Bradner Ryan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Max Gilespie. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. In the 35th minute, Rod Reidfurd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lewy McJon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Hewney Grant hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Gavião Kyikatejê's Henry Simpson got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th match minute, Gavião Kyikatejê was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Laidlaw to maneuver through the defense. The St. James Gate F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gavião Kyikatejê were winning 1-3.

Gehan McCollion hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Lewy McJon was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Henry Simpson. Lewy McJon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rod Reidfurd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Gavião Kyikatejê's Robin Laidlaw got a free kick in the 57th minute. Jeremy McQuartie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gavião Kyikatejê's Max Gilespie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradner Ryan in the 76th minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Henry Frew was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lewy McJon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lewy McJon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rod Reidfurd in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute Jeremy McQuartie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lewy McJon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Curran McAaron's late challenge caught a Gavião Kyikatejê's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Curran McAaron helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, St. James Gate F.C.'s Curran McAaron got a free kick in the 90th minute. With a little luck, St. James Gate F.C.'s Lewy McJon got control of the ball when Rod Reidfurd tried to sneak it across the goal line.
