Spectators: 195 (Terracing: 147, Seating: 45, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Herygh Prunty started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward McNamara in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bivadi McJohnny saved Uí Fergusa from getting behind. The supporters of Uí Fergusa booed when St. James Gate F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bil McPhilip didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peadair Dempsey's late challenge caught a St. James Gate F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peadair Dempsey helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th match minute, Uí Fergusa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peadair Dempsey to maneuver through the defense. Bivadi McJohnny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herygh Prunty in the 16th minute of play. Dugan Doherty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lewy McJon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradaigh Silke, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When Pat McLian fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uí Fergusa's protests and gave Pat McLian a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, Uí Fergusa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pat McLian to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Hewney Grant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lewy McJon stood somewhat misplaced when Bradaigh Silke came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 30 minute. In the 33rd minute Pembroke McPaul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lewy McJon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Bil McPhilip cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bivadi McJohnny was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 43 minutes into the game, Uí Fergusa's Bradaigh Silke nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lewy McJon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 46th minute, Ferdia McPhil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Herygh Prunty's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bivadi McJohnny was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bradaigh Silke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lewy McJon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradaigh Silke in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute Edward McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bivadi McJohnny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute Bradaigh Silke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lewy McJon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pat McLian got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Bil McPhilip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Bannon Gollogley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bivadi McJohnny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bil McPhilip in the 75th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Bivadi McJohnny successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bradaigh Silke took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lewy McJon. Lewy McJon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Bradaigh Silke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Herygh Prunty struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Bivadi McJohnny didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St. James Gate F.C.. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradaigh Silke in the 92nd minute of play forced St. James Gate F.C.'s goalkeeper Lewy McJon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bradner Ryan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bivadi McJohnny read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Uí Fergusa had won after a very even match.
