Spectators: 206 (Terracing: 155, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Patrick Dean made the kick off which started today's match. After 5 minutes, Tom Connolly mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lord of the Wings and the 1948 MKS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of 1948 MKS booed when Lord of the Wings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Connolly didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ron Fife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eoghan Barrett in the 6th minute of play. 1948 MKS's Patrick McPhil got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Lord of the Wings got a freekick which was hit by Steven Gilbride. Eoghan Barrett took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ron Fife. Ron Fife dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Daniel McCutcheon's late challenge caught a 1948 MKS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel McCutcheon helped the player get up and apologised. Ron Fife had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Barhan Barrett's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 24thth minute of the game Eoghan Barrett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lord of the Wings's Ron Fife was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute, Bowie Scully got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute, Eoghan Barrett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ron Fife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick McPhil in the 30th minute of the match. Robert McCready kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Patrick Dean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ron Fife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eoghan Barrett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Patrick McPhil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ron Fife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1948 MKS's Bowie Scully got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Patrick Dean managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lord of the Wings's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Dean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Healey Harkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in 1948 MKS's zone, Patrick Dean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Healey Harkin came out of the goal and Patrick Dean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half 1948 MKS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eoghan Barrett to strike the kick off in the second half. When Patrick Dean came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Lord of the Wings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Dean couldn't finish the play. A collision led to 1948 MKS getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Barhan Barrett hit a great ball. After 72 played minutes, Lord of the Wings's Patrick Dean shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Healey Harkin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lord of the Wings reached it. In the 73rd minute, Rob Coull hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrick McPhil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ron Fife made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick McPhil in the 78th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Eoghan Barrett notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Lord of the Wings's Ron Fife. Ron Fife was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bowie Scully fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Fife having to interfere. The 1948 MKS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
