After having played for 2 minutes, Raymond Sungkono managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forever Young's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymond Sungkono was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaber Al Ateqi struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Novi Akmal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Al-Ahli. In the 5th match minute, Forever Young was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frits Kosasih to maneuver through the defense. After 6 played minutes Al-Ahli got a freekick which was hit by Shaban Al Motaire. Novi Akmal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaber Al Ateqi in the 10th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Frits Kosasih was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Forever Young's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Al-Ahli the free kick. The supporters of Al-Ahli booed when Forever Young was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frits Kosasih didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Forever Young's Novi Akmal got control of the ball when Jaber Al Ateqi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Forever Young was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djaduk Roekito to maneuver through the defense. Novi Akmal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rashed Al Sharaf showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Forever Young was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hendra Perdana to maneuver through the defense. Novi Akmal was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Jaber Al Ateqi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jaber Al Ateqi really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 31st minute, Jaber Al Ateqi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Novi Akmal. The goal made the score 3-0. Jaber Al Ateqi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Novi Akmal having to interfere. Younis Al Harban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymond Sungkono in the 39th minute of play. Frits Kosasih sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Forever Young's Frits Kosasih got a free kick in the 44th minute.

The wind increased when Raymond Sungkono made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Al-Ahli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rashed Al Sharaf to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Forever Young getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Patar Djauhari hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Jaber Al Ateqi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Novi Akmal was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 70 minutes into the match, Al-Ahli's goalkeeper Younis Al Harban had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raymond Sungkono. Al-Ahli's Rashed Al Sharaf got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute Aadil Al Motar collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Frits Kosasih was shown his second yellow card after 73 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Frits Kosasih kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When Jaber Al Ateqi came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Al-Ahli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaber Al Ateqi couldn't finish the play. After having played for 81 minutes, Gandung Pitoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forever Young's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gandung Pitoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rashed Al Sharaf scored 5-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Novi Akmal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Al-Ahli's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
