Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Brent Kerns kicked off to start the match. When Brent Kerns fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Persepolis F.C.'s protests and gave Brent Kerns a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd match minute, Persepolis F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brent Kerns to maneuver through the defense. Louie Théberge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the game, Louie Théberge was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fenerbahçe S.K.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Persepolis F.C. the free kick. The supporters of Persepolis F.C. booed when Fenerbahçe S.K. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louie Théberge didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fenerbahçe S.K.'s goalkeeper Marin White, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valentin Sloan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin White having to interfere. 1-1 became the score in the 33rd minute when Brent Kerns elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Jermaine Preston got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Louie Théberge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Persepolis F.C.'s Young Provencher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louie Théberge in the 46th minute of play. The supporters of Fenerbahçe S.K. booed when Persepolis F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claud Tran didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Louie Théberge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Louie Théberge stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Louie Théberge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Young Provencher made a huge save. Young Provencher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jermaine Preston in the 59th minute of the match. Guillaume Anthony hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Jermaine Preston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenerbahçe S.K.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Jermaine Preston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute, Fenerbahçe S.K.'s Jermaine Preston dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Brent Kerns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brent Kerns struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Marin White didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Persepolis F.C.. Young Provencher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jermaine Preston in the 81st minute of the match. Louie Théberge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Young Provencher made a huge save. Jermaine Preston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Young Provencher having to interfere. Louie Théberge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Young Provencher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Persepolis F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jermaine Preston came free, but Young Provencher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Young Provencher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Louie Théberge in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahçe S.K.'s Louie Théberge got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Persepolis F.C.'s Valentin Sloan got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Brent Kerns's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marin White was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The Persepolis F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Fenerbahçe S.K. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
