Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 53rd minute, Christopher Kalengkongan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gavin Lineker. The goal made the score 0-3. In the 82nd minute, PHOENIX SC's Ceppy Sarbini ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gavin Lineker. Gavin Lineker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Ceppy Sarbini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavin Lineker having to interfere. After 93 minutes, Kelik Novara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PHOENIX SC and the AMAZON DU DAHOMEY players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to PHOENIX SC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Kelik Novara hit a great ball. When Lloyd Ellershaw was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. In the 96th match minute, AMAZON DU DAHOMEY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lloyd Ellershaw to maneuver through the defense.
