Sài Gòn's Vũ Minh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heru Utomo in the 6th minute of play. Vũ Minh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heru Utomo in the 14th minute of play. If Nickolous Haeruddin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vũ Minh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nickolous Haeruddin in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute Nickolous Haeruddin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vũ Minh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vũ Minh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Heru Utomo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sài Gòn's Vũ Minh. Vũ Minh was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 26 minutes into the match, Sài Gòn's goal looked a bit too open when Nickolous Haeruddin came free, but Vũ Minh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Sài Gòn booed when Kranji Crunchy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eko Zamani didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Sài Gòn players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kranji Crunchy were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Cong Vinh made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Sandy Raturandang notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Sài Gòn's Vũ Minh. The crowd rose to their feet as Anwar Siahaan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vũ Minh. That made the score 0-5 in the 81 minute of play. Vũ Minh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Welly Renata in the 86th minute. Vũ Minh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heru Utomo, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The Sài Gòn fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kranji Crunchy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
