After a rather tough play, RED SHARK FC's Nandang Sutisna got a free kick in the 4th minute. 5 minutes into the match, RED SHARK FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sammy Kosgei came free, but Hanif Al-Habsy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of RED SHARK FC booed when Rothwell Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ogembo Waithaka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faisal Tutupoli hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When Talib Hassan fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rothwell Park's protests and gave Talib Hassan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rothwell Park getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Talib Hassan hit a great ball. After 20 minutes of play, RED SHARK FC's Asmadi Simamora made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Korir was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hanif Al-Habsy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Talib Hassan, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 27 minutes of play, RED SHARK FC's Yanyan Noor made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Korir was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hanif Al-Habsy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Talib Hassan's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 30th match minute, Rothwell Park was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiran Rop to maneuver through the defense. Talib Hassan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Hanif Al-Habsy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adam Tarmadi hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. If Kenneth Alfie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Asmadi Simamora stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Talib Hassan hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The nice shot from Yanyan Noor in the 58thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Wilson Korir had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 59th minute, Yanyan Noor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RED SHARK FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 73rd match minute, RED SHARK FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Warsidi Sumpena to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 81 minutes, Talib Hassan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The RED SHARK FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
