Alam Dyce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alam Dyce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sammy Kosgei, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Ogembo Waithaka struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Alam Dyce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rothwell Park. Alam Dyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Talib Hassan in the 18th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Rifki Low hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Nagrand's goal looked a bit too open when Talib Hassan came free, but Alam Dyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Afiz Hee fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nagrand's protests and gave Afiz Hee a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Nagrand's Afiz Hee got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 43 minutes, Zablon Maish mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rothwell Park and the Nagrand players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rothwell Park's Dennis Mwaura was substituted for Christopher Limo. The supporters of Nagrand booed when Rothwell Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zablon Maish didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nagrand's Alam Dyce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zablon Maish in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Nagrand booed when Rothwell Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ogembo Waithaka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emmanuel Koech took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alam Dyce. Alam Dyce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Rothwell Park played a much better game than Nagrand and deserved their victory. The Nagrand players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
