After recieving a nice pass, Gala's Aban Adnyana tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Set Fire's Cláudio Correia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Syahril Rungkat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Gala booed when Set Fire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Apalanga didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Apalanga in the 23rd minute of play forced Gala's goalkeeper Syahril Rungkat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Set Fire getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Rogério Apalanga hit a great ball. In the 34th match minute, Gala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honestra Guritno to maneuver through the defense. Hanif Subarkah's late challenge caught a Set Fire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hanif Subarkah helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th minute Pedro Dikaté shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Syahril Rungkat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Dikaté to make the kick off. After 66th play minutes Cláudio Correia shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Syahril Rungkat and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 72nd minute, Pedro Vasques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 minutes, Ailton Preto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Set Fire and the Gala players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ailton Preto hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Cláudio Correia struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Syahril Rungkat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Set Fire. In the 81st minute, Aldri Wenas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Set Fire's goalkeeper Emílio Camarinha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 86 played minutes Gala got a freekick which was hit by Husin Kuncoro. In the 87th minute, Cláudio Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rogério Apalanga got free with Syahril Rungkat in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
