The supporters of Rothwell Park booed when Gala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aban Adnyana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilson Korir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zulkarnaen Rusandi in the 10th minute of play. Wilson Korir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zulkarnaen Rusandi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Zulkarnaen Rusandi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Korir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sammy Kosgei in the 29th minute of play forced Gala's goalkeeper Syahril Rungkat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Zulkarnaen Rusandi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wilson Korir. Zulkarnaen Rusandi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Rothwell Park's Olga Mohamed got a free kick in the 45th minute. Olga Mohamed kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zulkarnaen Rusandi to make the kick off. Kiran Rop charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kiran Rop the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Rothwell Park's Kiran Rop got a free kick in the 56th minute. Aban Adnyana struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Wilson Korir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gala. 65 minutes into the match, Gala's goalkeeper Syahril Rungkat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Talib Hassan. 70 minutes into the match, Rothwell Park's Talib Hassan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Syahril Rungkat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fedro Tingkir charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fedro Tingkir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gala's Fedro Tingkir got a free kick in the 71st minute. Syahril Rungkat was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Talib Hassan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 75 minute of play. Sammy Kosgei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Syahril Rungkat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Rothwell Park defense, Zulkarnaen Rusandi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Korir. The Rothwell Park fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Korir should have stopped the shot. In the 85th minute, Aldri Wenas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Korir was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gala fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rothwell Park had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
