The audience was convinced that Hans Lavallée's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toni Hadiningrat was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Menang Kalah Tawuran's Toni Hadiningrat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hal Chatman in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Hans Lavallée had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Toni Hadiningrat. Menang Kalah Tawuran's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hans Lavallée was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Harvey Hutauruk notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Flames FC's Aimé Ham. Aimé Ham was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th match minute, Flames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Kirby to maneuver through the defense. Yanto Sulistyono's late challenge caught a Flames FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yanto Sulistyono helped the player get up and apologised. After 20 played minutes Menang Kalah Tawuran got a freekick which was hit by Yanto Sulistyono. Menang Kalah Tawuran's Toni Hadiningrat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damion Déziel in the 21st minute of play. Ty Lapierre struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Toni Hadiningrat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flames FC. After a rather tough play, Menang Kalah Tawuran's Iszur Sugandi got a free kick in the 29th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sadam Zamani during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Menang Kalah Tawuran got a freekick which was hit by Sadam Zamani. Darin Nunn took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Toni Hadiningrat. Menang Kalah Tawuran's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ty Lapierre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toni Hadiningrat having to interfere. After the first half Flames FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Hans Lavallée made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Harvey Hutauruk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menang Kalah Tawuran's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harvey Hutauruk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flames FC's Emile Garrett was substituted for Carlos Kirby. In the 59th minute, Hans Lavallée left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flames FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Jerrod Staples hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Toni Hadiningrat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ty Lapierre in the 69th minute of play. Hans Lavallée received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Toni Hadiningrat came out and tried to block the shot, but Hans Lavallée slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 73rd minute. A hard shot by Jerrod Staples from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Toni Hadiningrat's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Toni Hadiningrat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Lavallée, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Flames FC's Ty Lapierre ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Toni Hadiningrat. Toni Hadiningrat yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. Toni Hadiningrat made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Hans Lavallée sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Menang Kalah Tawuran's zone, Hal Chatman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toni Hadiningrat came out of the goal and Hal Chatman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Hal Chatman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ty Lapierre fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flames FC's protests and gave Ty Lapierre a yellow card for diving instead. Flames FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
