Jonathan Rogstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-1 when John-Edvin Olstad sped through Sagene IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kjetil-André Garberg. John-Edvin Olstad took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kjetil-André Garberg. Kjetil-André Garberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 0-4 became the score in the 31st minute when Jonathan Rogstad elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Christoffer Bjørnsen made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Fredrik Henden sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Idar Haugli got a free kick in the 40th minute. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Fredrik Henden put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Christoffer Bjørnsen. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fredrik Henden to make the kick off. John-Edvin Olstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Kjetil-André Garberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John-Edvin Olstad's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kjetil-André Garberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 62nd minute Dum Dum Boys Athletics were awarded a corner. Idar Haugli went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 63rd minute, Jonathan Rogstad made a precise shot to the right of Kjetil-André Garberg. Sagene IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Kjetil-André Garberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Rogstad in the 68th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when John-Edvin Olstad got free with Kjetil-André Garberg in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oscar Sollid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sjur Strømmen charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sjur Strømmen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd match minute, Sagene IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sjur Strømmen to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Sollid kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. John-Edvin Olstad might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kjetil-André Garberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John-Edvin Olstad ran back to his position shaking his head. John-Edvin Olstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonathan Rogstad kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kjetil-André Garberg. That made the score 1-6 in the 85 minute of play. Oscar Sollid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christoffer Bjørnsen having to interfere.
