Santa Maradona's Gogo Pes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Umbruso in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute Saul Beltza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Pes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Umbruso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Pes having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Santa Maradona's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Beltza came free, but Gogo Pes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Umbruso might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gogo Pes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Umbruso ran back to his position shaking his head. Saul Beltza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Gogo Pes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Urbano Gelacio kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. If Siro Damario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Saul Beltza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Pes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saul Beltza in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gogo Pes saved Santa Maradona from getting behind. Victor Jaunti hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute Marco Umbruso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Pes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cecilio Garci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urbano Gelacio in the 32nd minute of the match. After 32 minutes, Adrian Quin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leon Platense and the Santa Maradona players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victor Jaunti took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cecilio Garci. Leon Platense's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leon Platense's goalkeeper Cecilio Garci, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Saul Beltza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gogo Pes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The wind increased when Urbano Gelacio made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Santa Maradona booed when Leon Platense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Damario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saul Beltzas short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Gogo Pes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Santa Maradona's Gogo Pes got control of the ball when Saul Beltza tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st play minute Saul Beltza came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gogo Pes. 0-1. After 90 played minutes Santa Maradona got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Gelacio.
