In the 14th minute Francisco Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulino Venerando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulino Venerando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Torres in the 16th minute of play. Celedonio Incendio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Mantzio went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Paulino Venerando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moises Pes hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulino Venerando showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Paulino Venerando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
