With an all-out effort, Atletico Saladillo FC's Ildefonso Bernat threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elpidio Quilino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Cayetano Berart fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Saladillo FC's protests and gave Cayetano Berart a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atletico Saladillo FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Cayetano Berart hit a great ball. In the 22nd match minute, Atletico Saladillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Endura to maneuver through the defense. Santo Seguinus took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gonzalo Niguel. Atletico Saladillo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Teobaldo Cordarrol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gonzalo Niguel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Eustaquio Quinten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the game, Centeno's Teobaldo Cordarrol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gonzalo Niguel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Uriel Napier's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gonzalo Niguel firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 68th minute Ubaldo Tello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Niguel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ubaldo Tello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Gonzalo Niguel made a huge save. Atletico Saladillo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Ubaldo Tello scored to the left of an out of position Gonzalo Niguel, making the score, 0-4. In the 83rd match minute, Centeno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubaldo Tello to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Centeno eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
