Sacro Balompié were furious when Jacobo Cristofol was red carded, 7 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sacro Balompié fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! Faustino Cordeiro shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When Samuel Bikendi came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Sacro Balompié fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Bikendi couldn't finish the play. Christian Araoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Nabar in the 11th minute of the match. Wilfredo Marin kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sacro Balompié's Felipe Steven got a free kick in the 17th minute. Sacro Balompié's Aaron Bernad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Tohias in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, HFA FC's Wilfredo Marin got a free kick in the 27th minute. Sacro Balompié's Gaudencio Medero got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Genaro Jakobe's late challenge caught a HFA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genaro Jakobe helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes Sacro Balompié got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Jakobe. Pastor Nabar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Christian Araoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Sacro Balompié's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Cordeiro came free, but Aaron Bernad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvador Louis kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Felipe Steven's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Araoz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Narciso Tohias was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of HFA FC booed when Sacro Balompié was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Steven didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aaron Bernad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Cordeiro in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, HFA FC's Edgard Guillen got a free kick in the 56th minute. Samuel Bikendi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 61st match minute, Sacro Balompié was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Bikendi to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Bernad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Tohias in the 62nd minute of the match. After 69 played minutes HFA FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Mancio. In the 70th minute, Pastor Nabar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Christian Araoz, passed just outside the right post. Sacro Balompié's Aaron Bernad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Tohias in the 73rd minute of play. Christian Araoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Steven, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Gaudencio Medero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Christian Araoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genaro Leguizamón recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Jacobo Domiku managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sacro Balompié's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacobo Domiku was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Araoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samuel Bikendi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Araoz having to make a save. Sacro Balompié's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
