Edgardo Iratze charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgardo Iratze the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gonzalo Regis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Teyo, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristides Maria couldn't finish the play. When Divorciados FC's Artemio Ferrer, in the 31st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Divorciados FC. The supporters of Divorciados FC booed when Atlético Rio Cuarto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Napier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eleuterio Benvide took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eustaquio Ihintza. Eustaquio Ihintza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 45 minutes into the game, Eleuterio Benvide cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Eustaquio Ihintza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Leocadio made a kick off. Gonzalo Regis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Leocadio in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Divorciados FC's zone, Eleuterio Benvide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustaquio Ihintza came out of the goal and Eleuterio Benvide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eleuterio Benvide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Divorciados FC's Eustaquio Ihintza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Divorciados FC from getting a goal against them. Edgardo Iratze kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. When Aristides Maria fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Rio Cuarto's protests and gave Aristides Maria a yellow card for diving instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 68 minutes into the game, when Jimeno Caetano put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Divorciados FC a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Octavio Erroman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético Rio Cuarto's Gonzalo Regis. 1-3. Esteban Ortle kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After 85 played minutes Atlético Rio Cuarto got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Orlondon. Gonzalo Regis came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Divorciados FC's Fernando Leocadio. But to his dismay, Fernando Leocadio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Despite being the better team, Divorciados FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
