Esteban Poz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 21st minute, Nicasio Vargas made a precise shot to the right of Esteban Poz. Cachiyuyo EAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After having played for 25 minutes, Dalmacio Venceslao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachiyuyo EAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmacio Venceslao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nicasio Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cachiyuyo EAS's Esteban Poz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Vargas in the 28th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Papato Tatengue got a freekick which was hit by Americo Milio. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Nicasio Vargas made the kick off in the second half. If Nicasio Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severiano Abarca kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Dalmacio Venceslao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Baltasar Txordon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Papato Tatengue's Oscar Barto got a free kick in the 76th minute. Cachiyuyo EAS's Esteban Poz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Cachiyuyo EAS from getting a goal against them. Nicasio Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Esteban Poz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Papato Tatengue supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Papato Tatengue would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
