After 21 minutes of play, La Zabaleta's Mateo Blanco made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Qwinton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Horacio Pinto kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After the first half La Zabaleta were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Narciso Quinten was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Godfredo Hever sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A throw-in in the 86th minute of the game was made by Leonides Atarratze with Horacio Pinto as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The No vino el 5 manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing La Zabaleta to win.
