When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isaac Luken made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Baldomero Ceandro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Prospero Paio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hipolito Quiroga was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Perros del sur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Luken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
