In the 4th minute of the match, Jorge Martxot got a very nice opportunity to score, but Abel Gilesindo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Iker Vasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Viviano in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Blasi came free, but Iker Vasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Marcelino Batista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Gilesindo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 19th minute, Gerardo Viviano made a precise shot to the right of Iker Vasco. Academia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 23rd minute, Clodoveo Huly ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iker Vasco was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. With a little luck, Scofield's Abel Gilesindo got control of the ball when Marcelino Batista tried to sneak it across the goal line. Academia FC's Iker Vasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clodoveo Huly in the 28th minute of play. Aurelio Weather kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Gerardo Viviano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scofield and the Academia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Scofield got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Viviano. 34 minutes into the match, Scofield's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Martxot came free, but Abel Gilesindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Martxot in the 35th minute of play forced Scofield's goalkeeper Abel Gilesindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Nicolas Salvidor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Abel Gilesindo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Urbano Manny during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 minutes of play, Academia FC's Jorge Martxot made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abel Gilesindo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clodoveo Huly stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Clodoveo Huly took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iker Vasco. Iker Vasco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. After a rather tough play, Scofield's Luisito Blasi got a free kick in the 61st minute. With a little luck, Academia FC's Iker Vasco got control of the ball when Gerardo Viviano tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisito Blasi in the 68th minute of play forced Academia FC's goalkeeper Iker Vasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iker Vasco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gerardo Viviano went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. A collision led to Scofield getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Iker Estefan hit a great ball. In the 77th minute Clodoveo Huly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Vasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Scofield's Clodoveo Huly ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iker Vasco. Iker Vasco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. Iker Vasco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Viviano in the 92nd minute. Scofield's Gerardo Viviano got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Scofield supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Scofield would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
