The supporters of Mercado Paulista F.C booed when Regresado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Herena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Israel Santo in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 61st minute Israel Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustaquio Oxarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Angelino Oinatz fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Regresado's protests and gave Angelino Oinatz a yellow card for diving instead. Angelino Oinatz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Eustaquio Oxarra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Israel Santo went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Bishen Vata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eustaquio Oxarra was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
