Ramon Tancredo kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes Tabossi got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Cefero. Angelo Romano kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Sergio Burni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mercado Paulista F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tabossi the free kick. After 19 played minutes Mercado Paulista F.C got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Burni. When Tabossi's Nicasio Firme in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mercado Paulista F.C's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Dimo got free with Omar Paul in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hugo Gitano hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Ramon Tancredo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Omar Paul, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfredo Dimo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Omar Paul. That made the score 2-0 in the 37 minute of play. If Alfredo Dimo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Urtungo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mercado Paulista F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tabossi the free kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredo Dimo to make the kick off. Sergio Burni hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute of the match Freddy Gonza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isaias Quirze showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tabossi's Nicasio Firme got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Natalio Ralondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Gitano scored 2-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isaias Quirze, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 72 minutes into the game, one of Tabossi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 75th minute there was a penalty for Mercado Paulista F.C. Inocencio Matai stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Omar Paul. 3-2. Omar Paul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Tancredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Tabossi getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Everardo Ixidor hit a great ball. Nicasio Firme hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Tancredo in the 83rd minute of play forced Tabossi's goalkeeper Omar Paul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Dimo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Omar Paul was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 96th minute Alfredo Dimo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Paul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
