Zuberbühler FC:s Siro Dantel showed great skill when he stopped Nicolas Rutenio:s penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alonzo Neron got free with Siro Dantel in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Placido Bilintx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Abeitia in the 22nd minute of play. If Apolo Abeitia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Apolo Abeitia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Bilintx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zuberbühler FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rolando Furtado in the 32nd minute. The corner ended in Rolando Furtado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Freezerpool FC's Placido Bilintx did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Apolo Abeitia in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Placido Bilintx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Placido Bilintx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Abeitia in the 35th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Joaquin Romelio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zuberbühler FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquin Romelio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Placido Bilintx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alejo Abajas struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Placido Bilintx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zuberbühler FC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
