Growlithe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Boniel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Frechoso in the 16th minute of play forced Cosquín FC's goalkeeper Segundo Salvadore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Growlithe FC's Omar Frechoso managed to work through Cosquín FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Omar Frechoso dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 19th minute, Flavio Bilintx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Melchor Izotz came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Growlithe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Izotz couldn't finish the play. Segundo Salvadore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Frechoso in the 22nd minute of play. Jesus Abajas's late challenge caught a Growlithe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jesus Abajas helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Jesus Abajas took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Delmar Orlondon to make any attempt to save it. Omar Frechoso might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Segundo Salvadore. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Omar Frechoso ran back to his position shaking his head. When Growlithe FC's Omar Frechoso in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cosquín FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Cosquín FC's Dante Obano got a free kick in the 35th minute. Segundo Salvadore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Frechoso in the 42nd minute of play. When Humberto Boniel came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Growlithe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Boniel couldn't finish the play. Humberto Boniel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Segundo Salvadore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Frechoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Omar Frechoso was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Uhin in the 53rd minute of play forced Cosquín FC's goalkeeper Segundo Salvadore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 53rd minute of the match Jesus Abajas completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jesus Abajas a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Jesus Abajas hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Cosquín FC's Segundo Salvadore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Cosquín FC from getting a goal against them. Omar Frechoso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Segundo Salvadore when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Segundo Salvadore was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maximino Kiliz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 58 minute of play. If Raul Uhin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delmar Orlondon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Gaur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Cosquín FC's Celestino Colas got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Omar Frechoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Segundo Salvadore managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Growlithe FC's Omar Frechoso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 74 minutes, Humberto Boniel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Growlithe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Boniel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Growlithe FC's Omar Frechoso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Segundo Salvadore. That made the score 1-3 after 76 minutes of play. Raul Uhin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Frechoso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Segundo Salvadore skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Frechoso got free with Segundo Salvadore in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Omar Frechoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Segundo Salvadore made a huge save. With a little luck, Cosquín FC's Segundo Salvadore got control of the ball when Omar Frechoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Growlithe FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cosquín FC.
